We are ‘Small Giants Advisory’, it is both our name and philosophy. What that means is this. It would be fair to say that there are times in life when we act small. And we are fearful, or we’re jealous, we’re arrogant or selfish - we might say small-minded. And when we’re in this mindset, we are part of the problem, if not ‘THE’ problem. When we’re like this, we detract from, we ‘tear down’ and ‘make less than’.
But there are times in life when we’re Big. And we are humble, or sure, or noble, or strong, or gracious, or forgiving. And we say in this state, we become what we call a ‘Small Giant’. Not that you become physically bigger, but you rise above and become bigger than the problem. You chose to become bigger than the people who are part of the problem. You’re no longer part of the problem; you are part of the Solution. When you’re in a ‘Small Giant’ mindset, you encourage, or enhearten, or enhance, or add unto.
So, we would make the suggestion that every human is capable of being small-minded, we’ve all been small-minded - we’ve all done it. But it’s also true that we’re all capable of being a ‘Small Giant’. And this is a choice. And you have the opportunity to make this choice many, many times a day. Our goal is to be more Small Giant, more often.
Whilst some of the information presented was known to me, it provides a more holistic view on HuFo than I previously had. The lessons have an immediate practical application that will allow you to practice them on yourself on a daily basis. It has improved my work already.
As a professional engineer for 50 years I have been working with colleagues and industry in many ways have done many training courses. I never came across one like this that drills down to how our brain functions, what we can and can't control, while learning how to improve our personal wellbeing.
